At EXPRESSIONS Gallery, we believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and create meaningful change. EXPRESSIONS Philanthropy fulfills our commitment to nonprofit organizations whose missions align with our values of environmental stewardship, healing, and community support.

While our coastal imagery celebrates the natural beauty of Cape Cod, our philanthropic work extends far beyond the shore. We support organizations that address critical needs including environmental preservation, addiction recovery, medical research, and community resilience.

Our Commitment: 15% of Sales Donated

EXPRESSIONS Philanthropy operates on a simple principle: the success of the gallery creates opportunity to support causes that matter. To that end, we donate 15% of gallery sales to our partner organizations in service of their missions.

Our Process

Each year, we select and celebrate one new organization to join our EXPRESSIONS Philanthropy family. This selection emerges from our community connections, whether a project borne from a workshop participant’s passion or an introduction to a deserving cause from a gallery visitor. We also continue supporting all our partner organizations, building a cumulative circle of impact that expands annually.

Since opening in 2021, EXPRESSIONS Gallery has connected us with a remarkable community of collectors, visitors, workshop participants, and organizations. These relationships have introduced us to inspiring causes we might never have discovered on our own. These new relationships align with our values and help shape our philanthropic vision. 

Announcing Our New 2026 Partner!

Sonny Whelen Photography in Support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation

Sonny Whelen, a member of our EXPRESSIONS mentorship program, has launched an online initiative to share his striking imagery while encouraging donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research. In his words: “Photography has become even more meaningful to me as a source of joy and independence since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease nearly 20 years ago“.

Association to Preserve Cape Cod

As Cape Cod’s leading environmental advocacy organization, the Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) protects and enhances the natural resources that inspire our work. The gallery makes major annual donations to APCC, shares APCC’s work with visitors, and sponsors complimentary memberships for our customers.

EDI Institute

The EDI Institute uses images created on mobile devices as therapeutic tools for patients and caregivers nationwide facing challenges such as cancer, addiction, and mental illness. EXPRESSIONS Gallery serves as EDI’s headquarters and actively promotes its programs to visitors.

Gosnold Behavioral Health

Gosnold is Cape Cod’s leading addiction treatment center providing comprehensive care and support for those affected by substance use disorders. EXPRESSIONS Philanthropy has established a Gosnold fund supporting the development and expansion of therapeutic art programs.

Witches on the Water

We are a leading financial supporter of this unique Cape Cod nonprofit that brings individuals together through paddleboarding to raise funds for local charitable organizations. This partnership began when the Witches on the Water co-founder visited the gallery and shared their impactful work.
