Our Philanthropic Mission
In addition to sharing our imagery, a core part of our mission is supporting two philanthropic programs, one preserving Cape Cod’s environment, and one promoting healing and resilience. We have embedded these causes into the gallery’s spaces, donating 20% of all profits and building awareness for these important causes.
EXPRESSIONS Gallery also showcases the EDI Institute, a non-profit organization that Steve founded to help patients and caregivers to feel heard, supported, and connected in the face of challenges.
EDI involves the creation of images using a specialized mobile app designed specifically for self-expression. The EDI Institute has partnered with leading healthcare organizations including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, McLean Hospital, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Gosnold Addiction Center. Over 10,000 individuals have participated in EDI programs, creating over 30,000 images.
Association to Preserve Cape Cod
EXPRESSIONS Gallery is pleased to be partnering with the Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC). APCC is the region’s leading nonprofit environmental advocacy and education organization, working for the adoption of laws, policies and programs that protect and enhance Cape Cod’s natural resources and quality of life. APCC’s vision is a Cape Cod where waters are restored and protected, natural landscapes and wildlife habitat are preserved and where growth respects the character of town centers and rural lands.
Steve is the President of APCC’s Board of Directors and contributes to APCC’s mission through the donation of 20% of all gallery profits.
